The Pat Duffy Community Center is your go to venue for family reunions, elections, auctions, 4-H activities, banquets, funerals, school events, and youth basketball games. We also rent the building for weddings and large events.
We proudly house the Stanley County Gold Program, serving 80-100 throughout the school year and summer. This program provides a safe, enriching environment where kids can learn. Explore, and build confidence. The Gold Program brings energy and purpose to the Community Center, giving Fort Pierre families a trusted place for their children to thrive.
Our Senior Nutrition program at the Quentin Sutley Senior Center provides 90-100 meals to seniors in the Fort Pierre and Pierre five days a week. They are prepared with care by our staff and volunteers. We do have congregate dining for a social environment. We are always looking for more volunteers for both meal preparation and delivery driving. Even a few hours a week makes a meaningful difference in the lives of local seniors.
The Stanley County GOLD 21st Century Community Learning Center provides a safe, supervised afterschool and summer program that offers many fun, creative academic enrichment opportunities for students grades k-8. With the 4-H Youth Development Curriculum as a foundation, activities are designed to improve school performance, utilize technology, promote good character, encourage healthy behaviors, increase exposure to arts and culture and prepared involved, community-minded citizens.
